Mary, Mother of God Church Christmas Trees Lighting
UNICO Hillsborough was asked by honorary member Father John Rozembajgier, pastor of Mary, Mother of God RC Church in Hillsborough, to help with their Christmas tree lighting on December 11, 2021. Christmas trees for lighting had been purchased by those wanting to memorialize and/or honor friends and family. UNICO members prepared a champagne toast for over two hundred and afterward served hot cocoa, beverages, and cookies to the attendees.
The church has helped those in our area overcome Hurricane Ida flooding with food, money and help with getting a living space. The chapter will present a San Giuseppe meal for charity with a gathering at the church in March 2022.
