Brian Piccolo award 2022 - Application Deadline 3/18/22

The award is given annually throughout the country to high school student athletes of Italian-American heritage who exhibit the qualities modeled by Brian Piccolo in his life and career (courage, friendship, loyalty, teamwork, dedication, sense of humor and anti-bias). We are offering a scholarship as an incentive for young Italian-American student athletes who aspire to greater achievements by pursuing higher education.

In addition to completing the application by 3/18/22 the criteria for our scholarship are as follows:

• Graduating high school student athlete

• Athletic Achievement

• Academic Achievement

• Community Service

• At least one parent/grandparent of Italian heritage

• Attendance to the Award Ceremony Brunch on Sunday, April 24 in Clark, NJ

In 2022, the student for students who successfully receive this award are given an engraved plaque and a $1,000.00 scholarship each from the Hillsborough Chapter of UNICO.

The ten chapters representing UNICO District X will be participating in this event to recognize student-athletes from their towns. The Brian Piccolo Award Ceremony Brunch will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at the Gran Centurions Hall, 440 Madison Hill Road, Clark NJ 07066. 

Attendance to the event will be required by the student and at least one parent or guardian. The award winner and up to two family members will be guests of the Hillsborough Chapter at the event. Additional tickets for the event can be purchased for other family and friends.
