Fiona Lenzo of Hillsborough Township has been selected as Miss UNICO Hillsborough for 2020-21.
Ms. Lenzo is a Hillsborough High School graduate and is currently attending The College of New Jersey, where she is pursuing a degree in Education. She has studied the Italian language for seven years and has received the Seal of Biliteracy.
Ms. Lenzo is an active member of the Hillsborough Community. She has been involved with the Girl Scouts since the age of six. She has completed both her Bronze and Silver awards and participated in various service activities such as running events for younger girls, volunteering at United Way events and donation collection events for the Hillsborough Township Community Assistance Network (bringing food to the local food pantry). She recently participated in a volunteer internship at the Hillsborough Township’s Tax Assessor’s Office.
Ms. Lenzo is passionate about art and it remains one of her favorite hobbies. She shares that passion with her grandparents who are also artists and they enjoy doing watercolors together and going to art shows.
Ms. Lenzo traced her ancestry back to Calabria, Campania, Sicily, Apuliz, Abuzzo, Molise, Lazio and Tuscany. She is prideful and appreciative of her Italian heritage that has been shared with her by her family.
